In South Asia, design is not simply a top-down process led by trained professionals, but rather a complex web of influences that includes the roles of makers, local people, and tradition. In this brown bag discussion, we'll explore the ways that these diverse influences have shaped contemporary design practices. We also consider the relationship between design and behaviour, asking how designers can create empowering experiences without manipulative or controlling approaches.

Ms Sukanya Deepak, a multidisciplinary designer working at the intersection of visual and user-centred design, will be sharing her insights from her work at Fields of View.

*Kindly RSVP for the online event with limited seats and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

when: 27th September, 3 pm IST
