Dr. Prabir G. Dastidar is a former senior scientist and an ex-adviser in the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) of Government of India. He has more than two decades of experience in science and technology management. He successfully implemented national and international programmes like polar science, research and development in earth system science and establishment of Knowledge Research Center Network (KRCNet) etc.
Dr. Dastidar has diverse research interests. He successfully conducted experiments in Antarctica on penguin behavior and is currently involved with the mapping of penguin brain. He has pioneered in global analysis of research landscape and modeling of Antarctic Science research. He is also an expert in modeling of science and technology development, visualization of knowledge, Research Analytics, Social Network Analysis (SNA). At present, he is a visiting professor at SGT University, Gurugram.
